Editorial policy
Last updated:
This page explains how we research, write, and maintain the content on Pesohere.top, including both our lender comparison listings and our independent research articles published under the Pesohere Review Philippines section. We publish this policy so readers can judge the reliability of what they read here, rather than simply taking our word for it, and so we hold ourselves to a clear, written standard rather than an informal one.
Independence
Our comparison pages are researched and written by our own team. Lenders cannot pay to change the loan amount, requirements, or description shown for their listing, and no lender is given editorial approval or preview rights over how they are described before publication. If a lender's information changes, we update it based on our own verification, not on a request from that lender to present itself more favorably.
How listings are researched
We rely on information the lender publishes itself — app store listings, official websites and public disclosures — and we cross-check the company name against the SEC's public register before a listing is added. Where a lender's public materials are unclear or inconsistent, we note that rather than guessing at the missing detail. We periodically re-check listed lenders against current SEC records, though we encourage readers to independently verify a lender's current status themselves at checkwithsec.sec.gov.ph before applying, since our own review cycle may not catch every change immediately.
Sourcing standard for our research articles
Our Pesohere Review Philippines section covers topics that can meaningfully affect a reader's financial decisions, so we hold this content to a stricter sourcing bar than general commentary. Specifically:
- Every factual claim about a company's registration status is checked directly against an official government source, such as the SEC's Check portal or its published lists, and linked so readers can verify it themselves.
- Claims about documented complaints are sourced from dated, publicly filed records — such as Freedom of Information requests or agency advisories — rather than anonymous social media posts we cannot verify.
- Where evidence is mixed or inconclusive, we say so explicitly rather than presenting a single interpretation as settled fact.
- We distinguish clearly between a company's registration status, its interest rate practices, and its collection conduct, since these are legally distinct questions that are often conflated in casual online discussion.
Corrections and updates
Regulatory status and company practices can change after we publish an article. When we become aware that a fact in a published article is outdated or incorrect — whether through our own periodic review or a reader submission — we update the article and, for material corrections, note what changed. We would rather publish a correction than leave inaccurate information standing. If a detail on this site is out of date or inaccurate, email us at admin@pesohere.top with a link to the specific page and a description of the correction, and we will review it.
Affiliate relationships and how they're kept separate from our reporting
Some links on this site are affiliate or referral links, meaning we may earn a fee if a reader applies with a lender through this site. This relationship never determines the order lenders appear in on our comparison pages, nor does it influence the factual accuracy of what we publish about a lender's registration status or documented public complaints in our research articles. Our Pesohere Review Philippines research specifically is not sponsored by, and does not promote, the subject company it covers.
Author attribution
Articles on this site are published under the byline "Pesohere.top Editorial Team" to reflect that our content goes through a shared research and review process rather than being the sole output of one individual writer. See our author page for more on who is behind this team.
What we don't do
We don't accept payment in exchange for removing accurate, sourced information about a company's registration status or documented complaints. We don't present unverified social media claims as established fact. We don't use language designed to imply a legal conclusion, such as calling something a "scam" or "fraud," unless it meets the specific legal definition of that term, as explained in the relevant article, with the applicable law or rule named directly.
How we handle sensitive, YMYL topics
Some of our research touches on topics that fall into the category commonly known as "Your Money or Your Life" (YMYL) content — meaning inaccurate information here could genuinely affect a reader's finances or wellbeing, not just their curiosity. For this category specifically, we follow a few additional internal rules: we avoid asserting a legal conclusion (such as calling conduct "illegal" or a company a "scam") unless we can point to a specific rule or law that was clearly violated; we present conflicting evidence from different sources honestly rather than picking the version that makes for a more dramatic headline; and we favor linking directly to a primary source, such as a government portal or an official filing, over summarizing a secondary source that itself may not be fully accurate.
Independent verification over convenience
Where possible, we verify a claim ourselves using an official tool — for example, running a company's stated SEC registration number through the SEC's own Check portal directly — rather than repeating a claim we found on another website or in an AI-generated summary without confirming it first. When we can't independently verify something, we say so explicitly in the article rather than presenting it with false confidence.
Review of the process
This editorial policy itself is reviewed periodically as our research practices evolve, and as we learn from reader feedback about where our sourcing or presentation could be clearer. We treat this page as a living commitment rather than a static legal formality.
Feedback and questions
We welcome feedback on our editorial approach. If you believe an article on this site is unfair, inaccurate, or missing important context, please reach out through our contact page with specifics, and we will review it in good faith and respond within a reasonable period.
